And it is time to prepare for the Bioneers Conference 2009!
Oct. 16-18th in San Rafael, CA
The Bioneers conference will feature guest speakers, bioneer networking opportunities, and plenty of interactivity. Get involved by joining the Bioneers.org online community, news feed, youth programs, educational workshops, and in class visits by outstanding Bioneers! In the gift shop and at the conference you will also find, The Bioneer Book Series, featuring stories and essays by Bioneer visionaries and activists at the fore of environmental and social restoration are increasingly finding their ways into classrooms and educational institutions and should definitely find its way onto your bookshelves at home!
Musicians for Change (M4C) bring music together with the Bioneer's ideas and points of connections at the conference and in the classroom. Musicians for Change is a youth project that reaches out to active audiences with their music and innovations. The many Bioneer Youth Programs are also partnered with DreamNOW, a youthled organization in Toronto, Canada. DreamNOW works with international organizations to create customized follow-up solutions for programs and conferences. Online project managment tools and an online community database to facilitate mentorships and relationships perfect for youth at the Bioneers Conference. Bioneers Youth Advisory Council, serves an advisory role to yout and the Bioneer's Youth Initiative. Plan on dancing to live music at the conference and bring youth with you-th! HA! They will be taught how to think like innovators, inventors, leaders, and scientists to better our society!
The Bioneers also offer a Women's Leadership program, looking at how women innovate successful new strategies. Empowerment and education of women are key drivers for positive change. Get involved and check it out, ladies! Be a leader in community and network with other strong women, share the wisdom and create a better world!
Also on the progam menu is the Food and Farming revue; a large umbrella topic for many wonderful guest speakers on this hot subject. Ecological growing practices, healthier food, greater food literacy, and connecting food issues with youth are some of the goals of the Bioneer Food and Farming program. Sounds like a party to me! You can bet I will be at the Bioneers Conference in San Rafael, CA on October 16-18, 2009. Some of the brightest minds of our time will be there!
